Area 7 News

The following updates are BRC’s current interpretation of the most recent government guidance and are subject to change, as and when government advice is updated

The full BRC updates (13/05/2020)

can be found

**Important Flu Vaccination Update**
From 1 January 2020, it will be strongly advised when competing at BRC events to have a flu vaccination within 6months and 21days of the competition. From 1 March 2020, this will then become mandatory.
This picture shows the wording which will be added to the 2020 Handbook (changes in red).

*Update for clarification*
This does not mean vaccinations need to be done every 6 months, it means that the vaccination needs to be within 6 months and 21 days of the competition. For example, if your competition was the 22 September, you would need to have a vaccination after the 1 March (1 March - 1 September = 6months + 21 days = 22 September).

If you have any queries, please contact the BRC Office.

💖💖 Phoebe Buckley 💖💖 &  Tiger Mail (member of CDRC) Has been placed 2nd in the Intermediate BRC BE league! She is also placed 5th in the horse & rider league and 5th overall. A Huge well done from all at Area 7

⭐️⭐️ Izzy Castle ⭐️⭐️ and Trelotte (member of H&HRC) were also placed in the Intermediate BRC BE league, only completed 1 event as horse was injured and will no longer be competing at that level.  Well done to you both.

‼️‼️Body Protector Update from British Riding Clubs‼️‼️

So, I would advise people to purchase the new label as it will be valid for longer than the 2009 one
